insert bad soap opera music and a creepy narrator saying, on our last episode of craft or die...
sadly, i must announce a very pathetic craft marathon challenge because I ONLY MADE TWO THINGS - some marathon. so everyone's estimates went over and thus we have no winners. ugh. imagine my dismay, my sheer and utter sadness. foolish girl. note to self: no expectations, no disappointments.
the good news however was that the cause of this was and is and will continue to be the opening of my studio offering art camp and private classes and workshops and pottery! fun fun fun. the bad news is that as a new venture it is gobbling up all my crafting time which was already slim to none.
on a lighter note i have learned to juggle - again. look mom, no hands.

on my thrifting expedition i also came across these treasures: a set of six french porcelain luncheon plates with different mushrooms with latin botanical names on them for a buck apiece !!! in mint condition...no chips or cracks. the colors are so pretty. score.
AND this little hand carved fungus family. can i just take a nap under one of those? please?
the next best thing to being home all day is actually being able to hit all the thrift stores! today i scored a whole pile of really pretty vintage pillowcases that i am going to turn into little tote bags. fun colors and prints and super soft. also a couple of pretty hand towels to turn into jewelry bags...and two linen tablecloths. sweet.
and, for the record....no crafts on day two either. still at ZERO. but i sure did think about a lot of them. seems like that should count for something.

well, yesterday was the first day of my crafty marathon challenge. and we are off to some start. not even a single craft yesterday. i did bake some amazing carrot cake with cream cheese frosting cupcakes for my son's class for their school easter egg hunt at the park though... it was such a pretty day we stayed for hours. i did almost finish a baby hat, but almost doesn't count.

today is not looking so good either. but there are ten days left. i will make at least one thing today... "if it's the last thing i do"!!!
only a couple of days 'til spring break and i am planning a crafting marathon. for myself of course. now that is what i call a vacation. i plan on it being somewhat reminiscent of my warning signs ... but only with crafting. i will be sure to stock up on snacks.

what a week. can't decide what to do first. coffee and a magazine sounds nice. finish my hat for my nephew. knit some booties for my new godchild...
naturally i will be sitting outside on the porch in the sun watching the moods of the pond change throughout the day.
